CenterStaged.io wants every student and teacher to be able to use our classroom activities, including WordMint. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. This is the standard used by the U.S. Department of Justice’s rule on the accessibility of public schools’ web content and apps.
What we do
- Pages can be zoomed up to 200% and reflow on phones and tablets.
- Buttons, links, and form fields have readable labels for screen readers.
- Features can be used with a keyboard, with visible focus outlines.
- Text and controls are designed for sufficient color contrast.
- Right and wrong answers are shown with text, not only color.
- WordMint includes a light and dark mode.
- The pronunciation feature can read vocabulary words aloud.
- WordMint does not use flashing content.
How we test
- We run automated WCAG 2.1 AA checks on WordMint’s pages. On October 4, 2026, the student landing page and the teacher sign-in page showed no automated violations.
- We review updates for keyboard use, zoom, and phone layouts before release.
Known limitations
- Automated tests do not catch every accessibility problem.
- We are still completing full manual testing of every WordMint activity with screen readers. Some interactive activities, such as concept maps, may not yet work fully with every screen reader.

If you have trouble using any part of WordMint or centerstaged.io, or you need content in another format, email info@centerstaged.io. Please include:
- the page or activity;
- what happened; and
- the device, browser, and any assistive technology you use.
We will respond within 5 business days and work with you and your school on a fix or an accessible alternative.
Updates
We review this statement at least once a year and whenever we make major changes. The effective date at the top shows when it was last updated.
