Effective date: October 4, 2026
These terms apply to WordMint (wordmint.centerstaged.io) and other activities provided by CenterStaged.io (“CenterStaged,” “we,” “us”). By signing in to or using WordMint, you agree to these terms. If you use WordMint for a school, you confirm that you are allowed to use it for your class.
1. Who can use WordMint
- Teachers sign in with a Google account and must have an active WordMint license to create and run games.
- Students join with a game code from their teacher. Students do not create accounts and may use WordMint only as directed by their teacher.
2. Licenses
- WordMint licenses are sold through Gumroad. Gumroad’s terms apply to the purchase.
- Each license is for one teacher. The first time you enter your license key, it becomes linked to your Google account and cannot be used by any other account.
- Do not share, resell, or publish your license key.
- If a purchase is refunded, charged back, disputed, or a subscription ends, the license stops working.
- Refunds are handled through Gumroad according to the refund terms shown at purchase.
3. Teacher responsibilities
- Use WordMint only for educational purposes and in line with your school’s policies.
- Make sure your school allows you to use WordMint with students, including any approval or data privacy agreement your school requires.
- Have students enter only their first name and last initial. Do not enter other personal information about students anywhere in WordMint.
- Keep game codes within your class, and end or lock games when you are finished.
- Keep your Google account secure.
4. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Try to access another teacher’s or student’s information.
- Guess or share game codes to join games you were not invited to.
- Disrupt, overload, test for weaknesses in, or bypass WordMint’s security or licensing without our written permission.
- Copy, reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute WordMint.
- Upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or that you do not have the right to use.
We may suspend access that violates these terms or puts students or the service at risk.
5. Your content and data
- You own the vocabulary, sentences, and other content you create. You give us permission to store and display it only so we can provide WordMint to you and your students.
- Student information belongs to the school, or to the student for work the student creates. We use it only as described in our Privacy Policy.
- You can export or delete your data at any time from your WordMint account.
6. School agreements
If your school or division signs a Student Data Privacy Agreement with CenterStaged, that agreement controls wherever it conflicts with these terms or our Privacy Policy.
7. Our content
WordMint, its design, built-in vocabulary, activities, and software belong to CenterStaged. Your license lets you use WordMint with your students. It does not transfer ownership.
8. Service availability
We work to keep WordMint available and secure, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may update, change, or stop features. If we discontinue WordMint, we will notify license holders in advance and give teachers and schools time to export their data before it is deleted.
9. Disclaimer
WordMint is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, CenterStaged is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim related to WordMint is limited to the amount you paid for your WordMint license in the 12 months before the claim. This section does not limit our obligations under a signed school data privacy agreement or under applicable student-privacy law.
11. Ending your use
You may stop using WordMint at any time and delete your account from your WordMint dashboard. We may suspend or end access for violations of these terms. Sections 5, 7, 9, 10, and 12 continue to apply after your use ends.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless a signed school agreement says otherwise.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we will post a notice on this page and email license holders before it takes effect. The effective date at the top shows when these terms last changed.
